Anu & Dance Development
"Dance is simply reflections of movement and emotions."
Anu Sistonen established her company Dance Development asbl in Luxembourg in 2007. She concentrates mainly in making own productions and guest teaching in various dance companies like Finnish National Ballet and Ballet de Lorraine.
Anu's choreographic style has been described to be clear and simple. She believes in movement itself and it's relationship with music.
The solo "Secret charm" was premiered on the 4 February 2016 in Kayl, Luxembourg and will participate Solo Dance Contest 2016 in Gdansk, Poland on the 10th of June 2016.
The creation MOOD(s) for five dancers and two musicians was premiered on the 10th of November 2016 at Théâtre d'Esch (Luxembourg) and performed after at Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg.
Currently she lives in Helsinki and works partly as a ballet mistress with the Finnish National Ballet partly as a freelance choreographer and teacher.
A new short version of MOOD(s) will come to the premier in spring 2020 with Pori Dance Company.

In november 2013, Anu awarded the audience prize at (Re)connaissance, a competition organised by Le Pacifique Choreographic Development Centre (CDC) and Maison de la danse Grenoble (FR) with her piece Against the flow.
Anu Sistonen a créé la compagnie Dance Development au Luxembourg en 2007. Elle réalise ses propres productions et enseigne au Luxembourg, ainsi qu'à l'étranger, comme au Finnish National Ballet et au Ballet de Lorraine.
Le style chorégraphique d'Anu est simple et clair. Elle croit pertinemment au mouvement lui-même et à sa relation avec la musique.
